Subject: Self-Reflection of Lab Report Analysis

———————————————————————————————————————

This memo aims to reflect and review my work for my lab report analysis for my writing for engineers class. The Lab Report Analysis is where I was tasked with finding three different lab reports about the same topic. My chosen topic was cancer and I looked into different treatments and ways in order to help cancer patients.

while working on this Lab Report Analysis, I completed one of these learning outcomes for this class. I was able to use different online databases and other websites in order to research this topic. I use Science Direct very often, which helps me find the three lab reports that I ultimately use for this analysis. Furthermore, during the writing, and analysis of these lab reports, I was able to learn how to correctly say in APA format, and also to be able to use paraphrasing in order to explain the information about these lab reports and more simple terms for the onions as many of these lab reports were various scientific and use terms that were not regularly used in every day conversations. Like “which PC3 are cells that help to target cancer cells and help the patient battle cancer, based on the radiosensitivity( the immune system or the cells that help to target cancer cells) of human salivary gland cells.”

In conclusion, I feel that I was able to learn a lot while writing and analyzing these lab reports. As it gave me a way to be able to understand and learn more about how scientists or even engineers themselves right certain reports, I would say that later on, I will try to increase my skill in paraphrasing as I feel it is a great way to summarize information better into a more understandable way.

The purpose of this Memo is to see what I have learned or found out about my writing, and what has been approved. This will be talking more about the product review essay which I have been able to complete by the rating of the reflection. I am hoping that this help me find some strengths,   as well as some weaknesses, and how to be able to improve them.

While writing this product review essay I have been able to use different jobs in which I have sent drafts to my partners and they’ve been peer reviewed this helped me make the use of drafting, even more important, and editing throughout my entire essay. As writing my essay I have been able to notice different errors such as my grammar and spelling mistakes. This assignment has helped me see the importance of drafting my essays “gives a way for entertainment as it gives options for movies, news, and TV shows. always connect to the world networks and provide connection to the world.” to “ Roku TVs have the same function as other TVs in the world, such as to give away entertainment. It gives options to watch many different movies and shows and use them. Roku TVs also provide a way to be connected to the network as they are smart TVs making it easier to be connected with the world and more informed ”. Another thing I was able to see or notice during my writing process was able to notice that I use critical analysis and interpretation in order to assess my product on how it is a great use for everyone and to provide evidence and data on how my products stand out more than the like this quote “Also, Roku TVs can be found in many homes around America more than 43 million in the USA use these TVs. They are very reliable for their consumers as many find them to be the perfect fit for their homes”. From here I noticed that I did a great work in providing such evidence. However, I will need to learn more about how to explain or egg elaborate on this data in order for my audience to understand. One last thing I noticed while writing this essay we were tasked with peer editing. I would say this helps with the social aspects of the class. It helped me and my classmates to work in order to see and read each other essay drafts and give suggestions like these “Hey! I really like how you gave a bit of history about the TV, it shows that you know a lot of information about this topic. I like how you mentioned how many Roku TVs can be found in the US. Another good thing is how you still mentioned other smart TVs but I think that in the second paragraph where you mentioned that Roku TVs function just like other smart televisions you should say why what functions does the Roku have that make it better then another smart tv” in order to make it better.

In order to one-up my writing I need to be able to work on a lot of grammar mistakes and to better explain my understanding of topics. From this writing experience, I hope to improve my grammar overall.

Subject: Self-Reflection of Technical Description

———————————————————————————————————————

This memo is meant for my technical description, in which I had to choose an item of any type of innovation to break it down. It’s parts, and it’s parts. I chose the PS4 controller as I was able to already know, and have some background on this item, and I have some knowledge on it. also including the parts I also have some background working with parts and I know their functions.

I was able to work during the writing of the technical description to be able to create a good stance through my writing, organize it better, and give me a smooth process of explaining the parts of the controller. For example, I was able to organize the controller from the outside parts to its inner parts.

Another thing I was able to work on during my technical description writing. And also was able to work on effective writing across the simple contact and beyond as I was able to break down and understand fully and effectively explain my PS4 controller.

In conclusion, I will say for my next technical description or other type of assignments, like this to always be very organized, and when writing a technical description to be less scientific as possible, to explain to an audience that has never seen this item before.
